Terms of service
Last updated September 2, 2026
The short version: buy it once, it’s yours to study with, don’t copy it and hand it out. The long version is below, in plain English.
Who’s who
CalcGrind is run by me, Johnathan Tippie, at calcgrind.com. On this page “I” and “CalcGrind” mean the same thing. “You” means anyone using the site.
By making an account or buying the bank, you’re agreeing to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the site. The free preview is still yours to try either way.
Your account
You need to be at least 13 to make an account. If you’re under 18, get a parent or guardian’s OK before you buy anything.
Give me a real email address. It’s how your purchase finds you, and how I reach you if something goes wrong.
Your account is yours alone. Keep your password to yourself. One person per account. If a whole class wants in, email me and we’ll work something out.
What you’re buying
The full AP Calculus question bank, AB and BC, for $10, one time. No subscription. No renewal. It unlocks on the account you were signed in to when you paid, and it stays unlocked for as long as CalcGrind exists.
If the price changes later, that’s for new buyers. You’ve already paid.
What you can do with it
Use the questions to study. On your phone, your laptop, the library computer, wherever. Bookmark them, retry them, argue with the explanations.
What you can’t do: copy the questions out in bulk, post them anywhere, sell them, share your login, scrape the site, or use the bank to build something you then sell or give away. The questions are the product. Take them and there is no CalcGrind.
Teachers: if you’d like to use the bank with your class, email me. I’m a teacher too. We’ll sort out something fair.
Refunds
Seven days, full refund, no questions asked. The details are on the refund page.
Not the College Board
AP® is a trademark registered by the College Board, which is not affiliated with, and does not endorse, this product. CalcGrind is practice written by a teacher, not official College Board material.
No promises about your score
This is a gym, not a magic wand. Thousands of practice questions will make you better at AP Calculus. Whether you get a 5 is up to you, your teacher, and how many reps you put in. I can’t guarantee any score, and I don’t.
Mistakes happen
Over three thousand questions, written and checked by a human. Some are going to have a typo, a wrong answer key, or an explanation that could be clearer. If you find one, tell me. I’ll fix it, and as thanks you get a full refund. That offer is on the FAQ and I mean it.
The site, as it is
CalcGrind is provided as is. I work hard to keep it up and correct, but I can’t promise it will never go down, never have a bug, or never change. I may add questions, fix questions, retire a bad one, or rework how the site looks. If I ever have to close CalcGrind for good, I’ll give as much notice as I can.
To the fullest extent the law allows, I’m not liable for any indirect or consequential loss that comes from using the site, and my total liability to you is capped at what you paid me, which is $10.
Ending an account
If you break these terms, particularly the sharing and copying ones, I can suspend or close your account without a refund. I’ll email you first unless the situation is obviously bad.
You can close your account any time by emailing me. Your study history goes with it.
Disputes
Email me first. Almost anything can be sorted out with one message, and it beats lawyers on both sides. These terms follow United States law. If some part of them turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
Changes to these terms
If I change these terms I’ll update the date at the top. Keep using the site after that and you’re agreeing to the new version. If a change is a big one, I’ll email everyone who has an account.
